The eighth Juried Art Show scheduled by Meadowood Senior Living in Worcester on March 23-25, 2018 will feature the work of prolific painter Glenn Harrington. The show is open to the public free of charge. Glenn’s paintings are recognized and collected internationally, have been featured in various publications, and have been published on over 600 book covers. He created 40 original oils for Disney’s children’s book “Tarzan” in 2000. Glenn has had numerous solo exhibitions around the world, and his portrait work is highly regarded. He was a three-time award winner at the Oil Painters of America national juried exhibition. Artists are invited to submit for consideration work that was not shown in previous Meadowood shows. They may bring entries to the Strasburg Auditorium in the Schultz Community Center at Meadowood on Tuesday, March 20 from 9-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. The fees are $15 for the first entry and $5 for additional entry with a maximum of two original entries and five sales portfolio items. The 20 percent commission on sales will benefit the Meadowood Benevolence Fund. $2,100 in cash prizes will be awarded. The jurors are Jim McFarlane, former president of the American Watercolor Society from 2008-2015, and Nancy Barch, a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Water Color Society. The schedule: public view, Friday, March 23, 6-8 p.m. artists’ reception; Saturday, March 24, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday, March 25, 1-4 p.m.; awards ceremony, March 25, 3:45 p.m.
