Meadowood's Ninth Juried Art Show
The ninth Juried Art Show scheduled by Meadowood Senior Living in Worcester on April 5-7, 2019 will feature the work of prolific painter, Teresa DeSeve. The show is open to the public free of charge. DeSeve attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and holds a BFA degree from Rosemont College. The artist is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Philadelphia Water Color Society. A teacher for many years, she has devoted the last seven to teaching pastel in two community art centers, the Greater Norristown Art League and the Wayne Art Center. Three times selected for the Pastel Journal’s Pastel 100 Competition, she was the 2011 winner of the coveted Richeson/Unison Award. In 2006, she was awarded the Andrew Giuffuni Award from the Pastel Society of America. The artist is represented in many private collections. Artists are invited to submit for consideration work that was not shown in previous Meadowood shows. They may bring entries to the Strasburg Auditorium in the Schultz Community Center at Meadowood on Tuesday, April 2 from 9-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. The fees are $15 for the first entry and $5 for additional entry with a maximum of two original entries and five sales portfolio items. The 20 percent commission on sales will benefit the Meadowood Benevolence Fund. $2,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.
