As NAMIWalks Greater Philadelphia celebrates its 10th anniversary, we invite you to take part in NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Montgomery County’s largest and most successful mental health awareness and fundraising event. All proceeds will help us continue to provide much needed support, education, and advocacy services for families and individuals affected by mental illness at no cost. Plenty of activities for individuals, families, and four legged friends which will include: kids craft area, walk “warm up” with MLC Fitness, balloon twister, Irish Dancing performed by Pride of Erin, dog bandanas, music by SoundScape Entertainment, firetrucks, rest area, sponsor information center, guest speakers, and much more!
Honored guest, Patrick Murphy, the first Iraq War veteran elected to Congress from Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district, anchor of Taking the Hill on MSNBC, and most recently the Under Secretary of the United States Army will provide motivational words and cut the ceremonial ribbon prior to the start of the walk.
