Learn more about cybersecurity with experienced IT professional, Donald Cook, who will be delivering a timely presentation entitled "Security Standards and How They Apply to Business" at Gwynedd Mercy University. The presentation will take place on Thursday, September 26, in University Hall W105 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Learn how building an effective middle market cyber and information security program can help businesses in the long-term. The presentation will review the current state of information security and the frameworks that help companies build a better security and risk program. Donald Cook is a seasoned IT professional with 20 years of experience with routing/switching and Information Security. Don has architected and built global network and security programs during his career. While working in various industries from financial firms to telecommunication has led him to concentrate on Information Security. While working in Information Security, Don finds the field exciting and allows for continual professional growth with the increasing threats to businesses, government, and personal computing. This presentation is a part of Gwynedd Mercy University’s Business Leadership Speaker Series for the 2019-2020 academic year. The School of Business and Education is hosting this informational speaker series that features a variety of business experts who will share their expertise on timely topics such as cybersecurity, marketing, investing, and more. All talks are open to the community.
