Delta Community Supports, Inc. (“Delta”) is seeking candidates for the position of Payroll Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations. The Payroll Manager needs to be able to coordinate effectively with other departments within the organization and requires a strong grasp of payroll concepts, practices and procedures. This position requires exceptional leadership, judgment and consensus building skills, as well as, developed facilitation and mediation skills, knowledge of wage and hour and other relevant employment laws and practices, and demonstrated knowledge of cross-cultural communication. This person must exercise the highest standards of ethics, confidentiality and have an ability to work with a cross section of employees.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: ? Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including payroll changes, wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. ? Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. ? Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices as well as Delta’s internal policies. ? Provide excellent customer service to Delta’s internal and external customers. ? Oversee the daily workflow of the department. Develop a competent and efficient department by supervising staff, assigning and monitoring their tasks and preparing constructive and timely performance evaluations. ? Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits. ? Collaborate with Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (I/T) and accounting teams. ? Maintain accurate records and prepare reports. ? Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions. ? Coordinate and distribute accurate and timely payroll reports, including Hours Worked and Budgeted positions to management and staff. ? Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. ? Assist Assistant Controller in audit preparation and financial analysis. ? Perform such other duties that may be assigned. Position Qualifications: ? Minimum of 3-4 years of multi-state payroll processing and supervisory experience, Candidate is progressively responsible for the payroll processing experience, tax filings and other related duties. Experience producing payrolls with in-house payroll systems is required. Supervisory experience is required. Payroll experience with a non-profit employer with at least two-hundred fifty employees is preferred. ? Current knowledge of payroll procedures, strong working knowledge of wage and hour, taxation, time off, leave and related laws.
