Ambler Arboretum Horticulture Speaker Series: Pollinators and Wildflowers — Observations from the Field: Tom Knezick
Pinelands Nursery currently dedicates nearly 60 acres to growing native plants; half of those acres use for wildflower seed production. Pollinators and Wildflowers will highlight some of Pineland’s observations of the wildflowers, pollinators and predatory insects that call their fields home. What plants attract the most honeybees? Which milkweed is best for monarchs? Learn the answers to these questions and more! Tom Knezick is the Production Analyst at Pinelands Nursery & Supply, a wholesale native plant nursery in Columbus, NJ. Knezick also owns and operates Pinelands Direct Native Plants, an online native plant retailer offering plants and seeds grown at the nursery. Designed for the home and hobby gardeners as well as horticultural professionals, the Ambler Arboretum Horticulture Lecture Series, presented by regional experts, will inspire participants while challenging their way of thinking about horticulture. Program registration begins at 6:30 p.m., the presentation begins at 7 p.m. and Q&A follow at 8 p.m. Information: kathleen.salisbury@temple.edu or 267-468-8400.
