NAMIWalks Greater Philadelphia 5k Mental Health Awareness Walk
In its 12th year, NAMIWalks Greater Philadelphia invites you to take part in NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Montgomery County PA’s largest mental health awareness and fundraising event. All proceeds will help us continue to provide much needed support, education, and advocacy services for families and individuals affected by mental illness and offered at no cost. Registration opens at 8am, walk begins at 10am. Plenty of free activities for individuals, families, and four legged friends which will include: Craft Area with Peyton Hearts, Face Painting, pre-Walk Stretch with Aim High Studio, Therapy Dog, Music by SoundScape Entertainment, Centre Square Fire Company Firetrucks, Sponsor Information Tables with Giveaways, Food Tent and Members from The Durning String Band in full Mummer Parade Costume will lead walkers to the starting line! A rain or shine event.
Honored guests and local leaders, State Representative Thomas Murt, Ed.D, 4th District of Pennsylvania Representative Madeleine Dean, Montgomery Board of Commissioners Chair Valerie Arkoosh, MD will share brief motivational remarks with walk day attendees.
