Event Description:
World Premiere of A River Reborn: Thurs. April 8, 7:00PM: Join PennEnvironment, film director Ben Kalina, and the Academy of Natural Sciences for the world premiere of the new documentary short film, A River Reborn. This film tells the story of western Pennsylvania’s Little Conemaugh River and the steps taken to restore it after decades of being told that it’s “too polluted to recover.” After viewing, we’ll be joined by the film’s director and producer Ben Kalina and John Dawes, who’s been spearheading the cleanup efforts of the Little Conemaugh for a panel and Q&A. Unlike most of our events, this one isn’t free, but PennEnvironment members get a special discounted rate of $7 for tickets. RSVP today!
